They also dock points for stopping on or past the stop line.
Make sure all your lights work and your e-brake too.
When I took mine many years ago I was docked points for driving too slow!!!!!
And usually they will try and trick you to see if your paying attention:
On my test he told me to switch into the left lane of a four lane road. This lane turned left at the lights, and the right lane went straight through. he then told me to drive straight through the intersection.
I then had to switch back into the right lane.

they'll pull you over in an area and tell you to observe the dangers. Usually it's stuff like on a hill ( don't forget to put up your ebrake and turn your wheels towards the hill if they ask you to park on one). When they ask you to observe the dangers, say everything no matter how stupid it sounds. Looks like kids could run on the street, park near by, all that kind of crap.

know which way to turn your wheel....always set your e brake when parked.
on my test they asked me what the current dangers on the upcoming road were. This was asked as i was driving. Remember to add little things like small children running out from driveways or behind bushes etc.
shoulder checking, signalling, know your hand signals (i had no idea).
Its actually not too hard to maintain your speed throughout the test, you just have to realize you might look like an idiot for half an hour or so but after that you'll have your license. Everyone has to do it at one time or another so you wont get made fun of.
Also they deducted points from my friend on his test by telling him to take off his seat belt and get out of the car after he had parallel parked. He took off his seat belt, opened the door and got out...but failed to check his side mirror to see if there were cars coming even though he had more than enough room to open his door.
Oh yea also you want to do a full 360 degree check before you back up...even if its 1 inch.
Aaaaaand when parking you're allowed to adjust it as many times as you want as long as when you put the car in park and set the e-brake that you're in proper position
