I don't know if there is any guitarist here... but Tom Delonge recently stopped playing fender strats. Therefore his endorsement with fender is finished, and his signature model is discontinued. I got the last Yellow in Edmonton. Check out the big 70's headstock, hardtail bridge, Seymor Duncan invader pu, this thing feels great.

Very nice, my buddy picked up a new Telecaster last year, lots of cake, but very nice guitars. Nice sound clips too!

One pickup, one volume eh? Well at least it's a cool pickup heh. I wanna get the "standard" Jazz in the neck and JB in the bridge for my SG ;) I see you got your clips off SD's sight . What kind of amp are you running? I assume you have another guitar or two as well? Guitar has taken away most of the buzz from car audio since I started playing last October, I luvs my guitar :D

Yeah, I stole those clips from SD, but they are a damn close represenation of what mine sounds like as they recorded those with pickups in a strat. I also have a Telecastor i never play ( has been in peices for over 2 years, since a paint job, I just need to solder a few connections to put it back together) I have a Dean Z (Explorer) guitar. I have had pics of it up here before. It's transparent red, with a Floyd Rose Trem, Duncan Design p/u's, all chrome hardare. But it is stricly a metal man's guitar. The frets are too big, makes it kinda hard to play anything other then Maiden or Metallica. I currently use a late 70's Music Man amp. 150 watts through 2 12's tube amp. It has enough power to play with some guys, but it's not the sound i'm looking for. I'd like to pick up a 80's Marshall jcm800. Anyone ever use a line 6 flextone II XL head???

Yeah a buddy I went to school with (who's like 33-34) has a JCM800 of old. I played my SG on that the first day I got it...*drool* such great tone. I have a Marshall MG60DFX of my own (got it in August), it's a solid-state 60W/1 12" combo with built in digital effects and reverb. I can get some alright tones out of it and it's good for a starter amp that I can jam with drums and whatnot, but I still want to get a nice marshall tube amp ;)

Your not going to find much for marshall tube amps. They are moving to all solid state. It's fine for metal, but i need tubes. Even a Mesa Boodie Triple rectifeir has a warm tone you could wrap yourself up in and sleep in.

You notice i took that pic on me myself in a mirror, then i had to flip it so i didn't look like i was a leffy.

Well they came out with the Mode Fours which are supposed to be pretty impressive, otherwise they seem to be going with their AVT series with the 12AX7 preamp stages as their big money makers...and at their prices that's just what they are
