Coffeyman 11-15-2004 07:19 PM

dude,
we live in calgary....the infinite void of weather in the country. a place where the weather can change from +/- 10 degrees from one end of the city to the other. live with it and be thankful that we get chinooks and not tornados.

Cavalier Chunk 11-15-2004 08:02 PM

ya i am thankfull that it was warm today, just wondering if any one knew why it was so hazzy in the air, but i guess mabey it was from all the dust in the air.(dangit kid you live in a hick town and you don't know this yet)

Blinddemonz 11-15-2004 11:51 PM

whats a chinook?

And lumina its the Mountain Effect

I'm movin there for that weather

fazes 11-16-2004 12:24 AM

damn, the only reason you would catch me moving to Calgary is because it is a straight up party town

bigunner1 11-16-2004 07:39 AM

yeah i saw it last night, my bosses wife actually took a pic of it. the sunset actually made the sky look like it was on fire. i mean i've seen "pink skies at night", but this was bright orange, yellow, and red. the way the clouds were sitting and with the colors,,,it was a little creepy.

Dereck Waller 11-16-2004 08:41 AM

Chinooks are a wind caused by the mountains, basically the middle of winter, -35 then a chinook wind comes through and next thing you know it's +10.

Blinddemonz 11-16-2004 12:11 PM

Ahhhh thanks Derrick (*sp)

Calgary has beautiful scenery, and one tax :D lol That's good enough for me.

Brandon 11-16-2004 02:10 PM

I thought a Chinook was a type of Salmon?

Paul Niwranski 11-16-2004 02:16 PM

^ lol - it is.

And our young friend Lumina lives in the eastern part of Alberta - where you downhill ski into ravines and off of barns and such - no mountians :D

Cavalier Chunk 11-16-2004 06:27 PM

you just brought back some painfull memories. 12 years old, my first snowboard. Off my friends 3 story house at the top, I dont know what the hell I was thinking. Broke both my legs though.

Those wierd clouds and the red skies were caused by the "chinook arch". Awkward how the arch lasted 2 days though.
