thinkin about tossing a party.....
 

So my birthday is coming up....and about 39 minutes ago i came up for hte idea to toss a shaker. Since my birthdya is actually on a monday, although i could go straight to the bar after work and get loopy, last time with a few guys we spent a bit at the bar and ran up a $300 tab in a few hours....so - clearly not the smartest. Althogu after the expensive ass scotch on the rocks we were drinking 13 different types of draft in one class...and it was surprisingly ok. Or we were that drunk we didn't know any better.

Point of this post, is i'm thinkin of tossing a party, everyone's sorta wanted us to. Now being a saturday, there will be a double header hockey game on CBC which could be good entertainment for a while. But after that who knwos. Normally the stereo is going pretty well down int he basement, shaking the main floor - surprised my neighbour hasn't complained. Likewise, theres ourr dining room table which usually gets covered with the poker table.... and thats fun. Often people turnt he basement into a dance room with the music n what not. But hmm what else can we do????

I was thinkin of maybe pickin up a dart board as we had planned a while back. They're only like $30-40 for a good one (or somewhat good one anyways). Only thing is, apart from someone probably taking a dart in the chest (hopefully not a girl) I don't wanna trash our walls. In the past my parents and cousins had a big bulletin board type cork material all around the dartboard, wo you could miss by a fair amount and not trasht he walls. We'd trash ema nyways cause we'd try throwing the darts from the furtherst possible distince through a small break between walls and yeah. I don't want this happening now that i own my own house.

Apart from that idea, it'll be middle of winter, so outside games are out. We'll hopefully get some drinking games on the go - but what else can we do for entertain ment and . Nt that we can't happily drink....and have fun try'n to fall down on the floor when we're already sitting down, but it'd be nice to have some more on the go.

Any fantastic ideas out there???

Please dont' make too much fun of my lack of grammar and spelling, it's about 2:40 am, i'm 6000 words into an email, and am shivering it's so cold here for some reason - wondering if someone left a door or window open upstairs :S.

As you stated, throwing sharp objects when drunk (and a birthday drunk is a heavy drunk) may not be best.

Grab a good clean (relatively) bachalor party working girl to be a shooter girl in the house for the night.

we're actually debating the key/texas idea. I'm leaning more towards texas personally as keg beer is meh at best.

Yes, liquor is definately a better choice. If you are looking to do it cheapest possible, pick up superstore brand 60s for under 40 bucks a piece. The Rye/Vodka/Rum is actually better than other cheaper stuff.

On a positive note, helped a buddy move, gained a washer/dryer/stove and a sweet dart board outta the deal.

3 days ago i decided i was gonnag et a dartboard anyways, now we got this sweet one...just need some darts. Gettin a lotta party pics for the slideshow. Not sure what else we could even do, but i'm stoked about it all so far.

On a plus note, two girls from the bartending course my bro just went to were invited. Only thing is they technically live 45min to 75min (not exactly sure) outta the city of Edmonton. So they asked if they could stay the night. Like c'mon, you know there's a spot for you two girls in my king sized bed with me.....it's not even a question....honestly so long as you're female if i get drunk enough...it's my birthday, it doesn't matter that much what you look like....we'll make it work.


So thats positive...things are on the up n up!!!.



This might be creepy, but i'm thinkin in the basement setting the webcam up to take pics every 10s or so through out the night, just to see what comes of the next day....could be pretty funny.

Hmm maybe we need one of those large metal wash tub type things...fill it with ice and water, and throw all the liquor in there! Could be a nice lil touch rather than relying on the fridge's so mcuh, not that they're troublesome or filled with any food, but start getting a lotta liquor and you need more room.

Looking back on it now, there is absolutely no class in that contract, but funny at the time. A for effort. Luckily there's no drinking n driving of any sort, and hopefully this upcoming party will include "bitches" and maybe porno.
