Okay, so I got this as a Christmas gift, for the PC. While I do enjoy it, it isn't as good of a driving experience as Motor City Online (RIP [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] ) or NFS Porsche Unleashed. Anyway, I'm still farting around in the Quick Drive section and am mostly racing around in a mildly riced out white Eclipse. Anybody do the Online racing yet? How is it? Ultra competitive? I know that sometimes with online games you get hardcore lifers that do nothing but play the game and it makes it quite hard for newbies to enjoy it.

Oh, and I hate how there is no controller sensitivity adjustments. In Drag racing, is the steering supposed to be really numb and slow compared to the other racing modes? Any tips for Drifting? I find the Neon much better than the Eclipse but it's still hard to do some clean drifting.

Overall I think the game is cool but I am glad I got it as a gift and didn't drop the 50 bones on it myself [img]tongue.gif[/img]

 

dont always use the hand brake when drifting, just turn. I got this game for my lil cousin and he finished the whole thing in 4 days.

 

Well I'm one race away from beating the game and I love it....It does have it's draw backs tho I need more upgrade like Street Legal has. But I like the racing and the drifting kicks *** once you figer out the good cars

 

Way better for ps2 IMO, my buddy beat the game and i think that the rx-7 done up to the max is the best for driftin..... i found wen i drifted that wen u crash or sumthin rev it in nutural pop the cluth and keep the car sliding side to side, and then if ur slowin down pop it into second, but i did this with the high powered rx-7 and got 32,000 for 1 drift with it so it was nice and clean, but everyone has there ways!!

I've had it for awhile now and I've beaten it once. In drag races you don't actually steer you basically pick lanes. Draggin in hard mode you pretty much have to hit perfect shifts everytime or you will get smoked. Also drifting the best tip is to know when to use the E brake and when to just slide using the gas, you'll get the hang of it. Longest drift, 42,000... highest score 279,000 [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

 

4 days!? holy crap lol I haven't played for awhile but Im stuck on race 71

As for drifting I use the ebrake a lot. And buddyz right gotta know when to use the ebrake and when to use the gas turns.

Driftingz easier when ur in an automatic rather than the standard gears. Tho playing the game with a standard is much more challenging.

When the guyz in res first got this game they played it for hourz for dayz in hard mode every race and they'd play races 50 timez till they beat it and get so competitive and determined it was quite funny to watch lol Ok itz my turn hold on next race next race when I lose dont worry, meanwhile 3 hours later they get off lmao Especially the addictive personality typez lol they're the worst.

Itz all about style points to unlock ur stuff the best car so far I've found all in all was the RSX I couldn't stand some of my favourite lookin carz and some of the onez u unlock have such CRAPPY stats even with ur upgrades that itz not worth tradin lol. Enjoy the game man itz actually not that bad if u have a decent video card and turn all the graphics up.

I love this game. =) So ricey yet so much fun.

I found drifting kinda hard till you get more powerful cars where you can build up the speed and do some sequential drifts.

All you guys who beat it in 4 days or whatever, do you have it on easy mode? Cause some of the races are fugging tough on hard mode.

 

Some ppl are either really good or really addicted and play it 24 hours a day for those 4 days maybe lol It only took me 3 days to get to race 71 dude but yes thatz easy mode lol

 

ya even some of the easy mode races were hard has hell.. since im not a big gamer any more... but even my buddys were tryin to beat some levels on easy but now they beet it on easy and on hard, so i guess thats not bad.... there pretty much done with it ahha... i love the drifting part, easy with powerfull cars, and i find that std is easier... yes it is soo ricy, specailly that 3 winged spoiler for the skyline, wen u get it it upgradees ur style points alot ahah but its soo fugly
