Well that sucks big time and my heart goes out to their families. I personally don't think canada should be involved in anything like that. do you think they gave 2 ****s about there so called" Accident bombing"when it happened? of course not!!!! anyways that's my 2 cents .... if that offends anyone then i'm sorry but it's true.. it should only be the united states fight not ours.. may sound mean but oh well... bye for now

unfortunately, our political heads spend their days sucking up to their american counter parts, protecting their investments in US markets, and their phat kickbacks rather then doing their job and representing their constituents like with the whole mad cow scare, chretien should have been on the phone to bush after the report came out that the cow originated in the Us, and that no other cows in the heard were infected tellin em "u allow the flow of beef to resume, the risk is gone, or we stop exporting lumber, and petrolium, and beer" but nooooo still the government has done nothing to help the beef industry out here its bull,(pardon the pun...)

its time canadian politicians stop giving a damn what the americans want, or think we need to take care of our own first.

^^ But why would Cretian start working for Canadians now? He's been screwing Canada up for so long already, why change?

As for the forces in Kabul, we are not part of the American fighting, but peace keeping - picking up the pieces after the states - and providing humanitarian Aid where the states doesn't care to. The Canadian forces distinguish themselves with different Uniforms and the people of Kabul know full well the difference between Canadians and the Germans, americans etc.

It is sad that soldiers were killed. My brother-in-law is currently in Kabul, and I hate hearing about Canadian deaths. I hope that peace can be established soon.

Ya but that's the thing... why should we pick up the pieces of what the states started? i still say you start something you finish it. and that's what the states should've done. clean up there own mess. anyways take care and i hope your brother in-law will be ok. cheers

My brother-in-law will be fine. He's a communications technician so he has to stay in the compound, so I'm sure he will be safe unless the compound is bombed. But I'm sure it is really hard for him because those guys were were co-workers etc.

As for picking up the pieces of the states, I am disgusted that the US hasn't taken responsibility for the damage that has been caused. I think the only human thing to do is help out - helping out the victims put their lives back together. It isn't helping the states, but helping people who suffered.

They have us by the *****, like it or not. We're dependent on them for our economy. I'm actually surprised that more Canadians haven't died for the American way of life.

I can guarantee that our neighborhoods would be far less prone to blowing up if the US did not stick their nose into other people's business. Not to say we should not help people who are obviously being mistreated, but we all know that that is hardly the motivation used for the US "intereventions". American foreign policy is directed by domestic political and economic concerns, not by the welfare of others. It pains my to see how many people buy their philantropic bull****.

So it would be your contention that the world should just leave countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, and most of Africa under the rule of oppressive dictator regimes that commit atrocities not only on the world around them but on thier own countrymen? How humanitarian of you. Not your problem right? Well not until someone blows up your neighborhood anyway... [/QB]
OMG!!!! Just because i said what i said, doesn't mean i don't have any kind of compassion. I feel sorry for all those ppl who had to ( and still live in fear) endure all that crap! I have a 7 yr old son and i couldn't imagine anything happening to him, like losing a leg or even dying. I feel sorry for all the families, friends and especially all the innocent children. No body should ever have to go through what they're going through. All i was doing was voicing my opinion and if you don't like it Oh well!!!!! You can take it as you see it. But you don't know me and shouldn't assume. I pray for all those ppl especially the children every night when i go to bed and so does my son.
