Virus? Worm?

Not sure what the hell this is, but about once a month I get a new icon on my desktop that is just labeled ~

No idea what it is, or where it comes from, it happens on my other PC as well. I opened it one day and a DOS screen popped up for maybe half a second, then disapeard as if I installed something...

IT just popped up again today and I'd really like to know what the hell it is, I tried searching, but no luck....

Ran a virus check, and nothing, also sent it through my hotmail account to see if it would detect anything, but nothing...

I use Spybot - Search & Destroy, Ad Aware, and also the free download of Anti-Virus from AVG. Good luck, maybe those will clear up the problem for you.

Have spybot, no luck, and I have AVG on my other PC, no luck....lol

heh its just someting that outlook express does to me now too. It only started after I did a couple windows updates nothing to worry about!
delete it and get an e-mail with an attachment and it will come right back!

I have this problem as well and have wondered about it.
Spybot and Adaware find nothing and this ~ pops up on occasion.
I too would lik to know...

there are some nasty viruses out there right now. we just got a notice from telus that if we didn't stop sending them our e-mail would get shut off. some doughhead took the anti virus software off the puters here 'cause he didn't think we needed it installed all the time.....meatball.
