All that happens is the people that own dogs like that just get different breeds. There are lots of large dog breeds and almost any of them can be trained/neglected into aggression.
I support the owner having to be responsible for the actions of the animal.

I took in a terrior from a questionable situation. The lady was left with her boyfriends dog when he was put in rehab and never came back for him.
He is an amazing dog. 10 months old now, friendly as can be. Listens great, friendly with everyone and other dogs. But he is being put down Monday as one of our neighbours reported him.
Not fair at all to him. You look at him and see a puppy full of life that is going to be killed for no reason. The guy is sitting here with his head on my lap right now, never hurt a person and because his breed has been abused he is going to be killed.

I wonder how far this "ban" will go. What breed will they ban next?
