newb, you can have all the aggresive dogs you want on your property, but if your dog were to escape or a 3 year old with really bad parents lets their the kid wander off and walk into your front yard, does that give your dog the right to tear it to shreds. there are good arguements both ways on this. the thing is, what is a good solution, well, there isnt a good solution, but the easiest one, path of least resistance is to try to control the offender, aka the dogs. it just seems like every few months there is a story in the news about a pitbull of rotwieler that attacked someone or thing. these are the situations that these dogs get judged on

Anyways, ANY dog has the potential to attack. I'd feel bad if my dog killed a child of course, but if that dog was inside my fenced yard, the blame lies solely on the parents of that child I think. I would still have the dog put down, but I don't feel that it's my responsibility. If the dog got loose, that's entirely different, as it is my responsiblity to keep the dog secure.
I'm sick of liberals telling me what I can and can't own and do. To me this "dog ban" is that simple, it infringes on my civil liberties. You know what else goes down the path of least resistance?
Let's ban aftermarket audio because some people use it irresponsibly and bother others.
Let's ban cars because some people drive like idiots and harm others.
Let's ban eating unhealthy food because some people abuse their bodies and then waste my tax dollars in the hospital.
This dog ban only went through because it infringes on the civil liberties of a minority, and most people are too stupid and selfish to defend the rights of others. It's the same reason the firearms registry came in, same reason we give criminal records and jail time to people who are ill with addictions, etc.

the first 4 really need humans to create those figures, the dogs could just be eliminated alot easier that eliminating everyone who drives, smokes, smokes 2nd hand smoke, and has guns and bullets. besides for some people almost all of the top 4 could be considered fun, shooting guns, fun, driving a car, fun, as for the smoking, well
