I'd like to see a beefy system in a newer Mini Cooper. One thing that makes the install SO much easier is the fact that the battery is in the back. You'd have to scrap the back seats, though.
If money over the long run is a concern, I'd probably stay clear of an SUV. Gas will likely only get worse. If money isn't really an issue though, then I'd rather have an SUV.
