today I decided to do a little car audio work. I have modified a VW Jetta Centre Console along with the help of a friend to accomodate my head unit.

It did not take too long to mount the head unit where the ash tray was. I have yet to relocate the cigarette lighter as well. But so far it's looking good. Today , Wednesday I went to the junkyard and scored some sweet rear seats with head rests. I also got a matching small bumper. I have some 3 peice gauges to install as well. The car is looking more European everyday. http://www.photodump.com/direct/zhartwel/IM001419.jpg http://www.photodump.com/direct/zhartwel/IM001420.jpg http://www.photodump.com/direct/zhartwel/IM001421.jpg [ September 22, 2004, 11:11 AM: Message edited by: Black Hole Sun ] |
In case your wondering what the console is sitting on, it is a Chiropractic adjustment table. My dad is a chiropractor so that's why its on it.
I have cleaned up the console considerable, and have painted the screws black so it blends in better. I also have put in a small peice of foam so I can access the controls on either my mp3 player or Sony MD player better. |
looks nice!!
