Question Flip Screen vs reg decks

Hey people, ok i am pretty new to car audio i know some basics but not too much. Anyway quick question my deck just went, wont turn on, guess its something internal. There is power going to it but it is not working(had shop check it out). So i am in the search for a new one, but now i am thinking of a flip screen. I heard you sacrifice sound quality but getting a flip. so what do you think should i just get another deck or will flip screen be just as good. And next question the screens i am thinking about are in the 400-600 range anything good for that....? Thanks guys

K thanks man.. I really want flip screen but double din is also a option. Anything wrong with flip screens and can some one recommend a good flip with good sound and as many upgradeable features as i can get for 400-600. And also do any in this price range have navigation...? What else should i look or when checking out these...? Thanks

Most single din flip units will have navigation as a add on option or no navigation at all. A good single cd player like the Eclipse CD7200ii will devastate a dvd based unit for tonal response. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Pioneer makes great single din flip units.
