Hi.. Im looking for other ways to speed up my operating system.. to be stable,, and to avoid loosing any data if my OS Drive fails.

I have 2 Hard drives.

Moved the Swap file to 2nd Drive - set it at 2048mb for size.
Re-mapped the My documents/favorites folder to 2nd drive.
Re-Mapped Outlook Express Data files to 2nd hard drive
Set Temp to C:\Temp for everything including temp i-net files.
Disabled Sys Restore
Disabled Auto Updates
Disabled the new annoying MS Security centre
Disabled last access times on NTFS System.
Disabled indexing on both drives
Disabled unneeded services following blackvipers guides

After Installing all the software i took norton ghost and made a bootable DVD which will re-image the drive to its current status.. It works well too,, copies the whole 4.2gb image file over in about 10 minutes..

Is there anything else that I could have possibly missed..??

Install more RAM. And you wouldn't need to disable all of those services.

I have 512ram now and just for the hell of it I put it another 512 didn't make a lick of difference on startup instead of having 320meg free after everything loaded I had like 750 megs free... I found just for typical use 1 Gig a ram is pretty much pointless unless ur really into the games or digital editing of sorts.

This was when mine was brand new it's around 10 months old, It's a Dell 8300 as it is with 512 ram my system boots up fully in about 20 seconds...then again if you have that many programs on startup that you need 1 gig to make it fast the you need be removing them lol, only thing ever needed in your startup liste, Anti-virus/Firwall that's about it, I hate how office loads into startup you have 8 programs running for no reason...
