U should check with OSAP either way but I doubt it considering its twice as much more and they go by your parents income anyway. EVEN if ur paying for it all and ur rents aren't helpin lol. Im goin to Oshawa for school in 2months dude.
Currently a Canadian attending school in the states
A few things you should do . . .
Notify OHIP. Tell them you are leaving for school and intend to return. They will extend your coverage. Without this extension, you will be hard pressed to find an insurance company that will cover you.
I am currently with travel insurance cooperators and I'm paying $300 for the entire year for myself and my wife When you start shopping you will see that's a killer deal!
As for benefits recieved - only related to my wife's pregnacy. Since we are non-US citizens below the poverty line (being in school isn't hard to be below the poverty line) every aspect of the pregnancy and delivery was covered Yeah, talk about odd. The states won't cover their own citizens, but they covered us. Either way, I'm not complaining.
Any logistical Q's send me a PM or an E-mail.
