Back in high school when i did coop at a car audio shop, i learned
they used underlay for every box they make
whats the advantages and what kind of result can you expect?
im just curious since ill be building a new box for this spring

i use it behind my plastic panel. it works and would work the same way as closed cell foam to stop the rear waves from bouncing back at the cone.
for a sub box i wouldnt use thicker than 1/4"
btw SQ would be better and the bass would be smoother. anyway for the 3$ you would spend y not try it right???

ish that must flex like a bastard lol. it worked fine cause you had hardly any power and now that you have double... well 1/2" thick box is WAY to thin and prob loses energy cause of the boxes thickness. redo it in 3/4" mdf or even 1" if you want to go all out lol. you will notice a huge increase in output from low frequency to the higher
oh yeah...my friend built it for me as a prototype so see how it would sound
and also to run his 10" mtx via custom from baffle for a 10"
i wanted to redo it in 3/4" and 1" baffle but i might be going a different direction
since i want 2 more of these subs...
