I don't know about their new stuff, but 8 years ago I installed a 10" pyle sub in a 1 cube sealed box in my '95 Gran Prix; at the same time my brother-in-law installed a Boston Acoustics pro 10" in a 1 cube sealed box in his Acura. Well, being as easy to swap them as it was, I had to try both out in the different cars. Results: Boston sounded excellent in both applications, Pyle sounded very good but not as good as the Boston and could not handle near as much power. I was very impressed with the Pyle though as it cost 1/6th the price of the Boston and I did not expect it to perform even close to as well. Overall SQ was very close at moderate levels. I remember thinking after the test that I would get 2 of those Pyle subs for under $100.00 brand new and be able to blow my Brother in law away. Anyway, that was my experience with the Brand. Like I said, I have no idea what the new stuff is like. If you're interested,PM me, as I have some Infinity 10s and a Clarion Pro audio 10 that is for sale.

83.5dB also does not sound very efficient? like the other guys said keep looking there are more than likely other subs around the same price range that you can look at as well..
