I need a subwoofer box for my two 12” JL audio 12w6 subs which are a few years old. The vehicle is a 91 Mustang trunk model. What is the difference between a ported and an unported box, and where can I get the best value on a sub box?

 

go sealed with those woofers.
used 10W6 (old version) and it didnt perform well in a ported enclosure.

 

I've got the same car. You're going to have to go custom enclosure with 2 12's. I just recently removed my 12" woofers, which I was running free air in an attempt to save space, and went with 1 10" in a single bassworx box, which is the only store bought box I could find that will fit.
