Check Metra and Schoshe, I am sure I have seen them for fords like that with the a/c controls built in. http://www.metraonline.com/fit.aspx As a matter of fact they do indeed have a kit for your car.

Glad I could help. Just be careful as there might be more then one style though. For my Cavalier I found 4-5 different ones. Luckily I managed to figure out the right one. Try to find one local rather than oneline so you can at least see if it looks right.

Try to find a local place. Might be a little cheaper. Mine was only $25 but doesn't have the A/C controls.

Definately possible to make your own. Also possible to modify the one you have. If you screw it up you will just end up getting the proper one anyways so nothing to lose. If it does work well you just saved $$$ always a good thing. Search on the many car audio forums for build logs etc. I have seen a lot of tutorials on plastic panel repair, some are better than others so look at as many as you can and give it a shot. We expect to see pics of the process.

its a screwed up unit let me tell you that. dont mod since the ac and blah blah blah is all sortof attached to the radio. then you modify and you have some odd buttons here and there open and looks like crap.

yes these units are expensive. ford is just as bad as GM cause 2000 and up GM needs a GMCO that starts from 129 to 189 and thats not counting the dash kit lmao

this is the thing y i will never buy a ford or GM they need to much useless things and a wad of cash to put a simple deck
