sound deadening

sound deadening

So I am looking for cheap sound deadening. I used to buy that b-quiet stuff back in the day..but I had a look at their prices now...WTF

Any recommendations?

I need:

matt style deadener
some liquid style deadener
sound kinda noise reduction/ vibration killing foam pad

I am building a luxury car, so it must be stuff that doesnt smell or melt, must be good at killing outside noise

has anyone tried something like peal and seal from home depot? how does this compare to b-quiet/second skin etc?

if your car smells too good and you want to add some stink to it then peel and seal is the way to go.

You might try FatMat. They are in Oakville, ON. Dont remember the exact prices but they are the cheapest on the market. As for the quality I can not give the exact answer as I have not used anything else except FatMat. I've done my front doors and so far it works fine for me. As for the smell I guess it is really overstated. Yes it does smell for a day or so. Also the door panels are covering the material so I am not sure how the smell is going to "escape" into the cabin. But hot melting days are ahead of us, so I might be mistaken. You can take a look at my pic under "Installs" with this stuff being applied.

I was on budget so decided to go with FatMat. They also carry some liquid deadener.

I think everyones wanting the same thing something that doesn't smell and works but these days are retarted and these companys wonder why there going bankrupt because they won't lower their prices. If someone came out with a decent deadning for cheap. I'd buy it
