Question

what would sound better and/or louder. 2 8" subs, or 1 10" sub. assuming both running off the same amp.

I have limited space for what i want, so your opinions would be appreciated

Assuming same manufacturer and same line....???

Why not just go with a single 12". A lot of 12" now go in under one cu ft and will move more air then two 8" or a single 10". And a 12" is not much more money then a 10".

I have an Ext cab GMC Sierra and a 12" will fit under the backseat if u get a custom box made to fit flush with the contours of the truck.

If you go with a generic store bought (futureshop or what not) box it will still fit although it will stick out 2 to 3 inches.

Some people might say the box sticking out 2 or 3 inches isn't aesthetically pleasing.... personally I don't think it looks that bad.
