I'm an amateur builder to say the least.. In fact, this would be my first box build.. so i think i got it all figured out so far. Box is going into a 05 mustang gt. The sub side when I'm finished doesnt have to look real pretty, everything is gonna get hidden with a steal plate thats going to get airbrushed after.

Here's how its going so far.

In order to get the sub box into the trunk i had to more or less make two seperate boxes, however the plan is to join the two together in the truck with a second sub side board and the back of the box (magnet side) is going to be one piece aswell with plexi glass.

I do have a question though. In another thread Thumper there mentioned using lexan.. which i found to be very expensive but with huge payoffs.. what thickness of lexan would you use for a sub enclosure? I had planned on 3/4" plexi so far..

Also mounting the plexiglass.. i figured on routering the edge 3/8" deep and 3/4" inwards and the same for the mdf to mount it with screws, but im afraid of cracking the plexi now. Any better way to mount it?
