6 ch Amp and install help needed
I have a 2000 chev Siverado ext/cab. I'm planning to install these components: INFINITY*frnt(5 1/4 RMS45W - PK135W 4ohm) Rear(4x6 RMS40W- PK135W 4ohm) Sub(10" DVC RMS250W - PK1000W in sealed 3/4" Medex box according to specs) Amp(6ch 560W) Head unit up in the air. I'm wondering if this amp will be enough to power this system and should I use my head unit for the fronts? Also would a Cap be any use in my modest system? Thanks, any help would be great.

or get an 1000w amp and get a 3way set of focals 165 k3p's for the mains and use the 6ch for them with an AUDIOCONTROL DQXS CAR AUDIO 2 CH
O that would be nice
My sub has two sets, is this because it's a DVC? Anyway, your saying that i could run fronts off 1-2 and rears off 3-4 and sub off 5-6? I know this amp has internal crossover as well as bridgeable. Will this make my life easier? I'm asking because I haven't bought yet (infinity REF5761a). Thanks
According to Infinity's website, that amp delivers 56x4 watts rms + 107 watts rmsx2 @ 4ohms. If you bridge the two sub channels you get a nice 287 watts rms@ 4ohms(perfect for that sub, if it can be set up at 4ohms). If your sub is a dual 4ohm then hook it up parallel, 2 ohms, and it will get 150 watts rms from a single sub channel @ 2 ohms( I am not sure whether each coil can be powered individually, if they can then use each sub channel for 107 watts to each coil or consider buying another sub or getting a single 4ohm version, maybe you can tradeit or return it if it's unused). Your other speakers are properly matched for the power output of each channel(56 watts each). Start with a straight forward set up and then start screwing around, at least you'll have a reference point for the sound quality/quantity. Anyway, your front speaks will be over powered if you bridge channels 1-2 and 3-4, which will deliver 148 watts rms each to speakers rated for 45 watts...probably not a good idea unless you know what you're doing.
