right now i have 2 boston g5's and i am thinking about getting a single 10 inch orion hcca. I'm not too sure which would be louder and i would like to have some people's opinions on both of these subs. Thanks for the help in advance.

 

I know for a fact that a Orion HCCA 12 Dual 2 ohm can take one hell of a *** kicking lol..

Right now I am doing some testing with one and it is taking 3500 Watts RMS.

I will be running a XXX6500 on it on the 23rd in Penticton.... The woofer dose get loud.

I cant tell you any Numbers right now.. But I think that the HCCA might be the way to go..

OH it only takes 20min to rebuild.

 

if power remains unchanged (keeping the same amplifier) more cone area will always be louder. so stick to what you have unless you are going with a bigger amp.

right now i have an Alpine mrp m1000 amp. This week i'll be buying an audison lrx1.1 amp along with the hcca. That'll enough power won't it?

 

what are the ratings for both amps?

 

mrp m1000 is 1000 watts at 2 ohms(at 14.4 volts). the audison is 1100 at 1 ohm with a 12 volt.

ok... i don't get how this works at all then... my friend has jl 10w7 and has a 500 watt amp going to his. I have 2 12 inch g5's and it's at 1000 watts but his is still louder.. why is that?
