Best fm modulator

My cousin has a 2003 mercedes e320 with the stock stereo and wants to listen to his ipod in the car. I can't find any direct connect ipod adaptors for this car, and he won't change anything from stock. I've decided the only option is either a wired or wireless fm mod. Any opinions on the best one available...found 2 so far, one from Boss and 1 from Scoshe. Both are wired which I prefer, but any other ideas??? Thanks in advance!

You should be able to find a direct control adapter from either Metra.com or Soundgate.com or NavTv.com for that vehicle. They will have limited functionality but the iPod will be controlled from the factory head unit.

Thanks guys...the soundgate and dension products look good. I'll check those out for him, and if he ends up doing it, i'll let you know how it works.

Alright I looked into it...too expensive for what he wants. I've been quoted 400-600 for the units, and 900-1000 including install on his system. That's a little steep to add an ipod for him. Looks like wired fm mod is the best option in this case. Anyway, he's not an audiophile by any means and he's a little cautious with the wallet.

I guess we're back to the original question...best wired fm modulator???

Alpine DPR-RDS1 Play your iPod or iPhone over any factory radio at Crutchfield.com

Thanks guys..Jordy, that Alpine looks like the ticket since it charges the ipod as well and according to Alpines site is a wired fm mod...plus it's Alpine, so I expect it to be better than the typical products out there, and it gets the signal from the dock connector directly, so the quality should be as good as fm mod can be.
