Hooking up a cap for the first time. this cap is used. Does that mean its charged; been reading a bit about it. Abit confused.
Do I just go ahead and hook it up. I know how the wiring goes. Pos from batt and power from amps to pos post on cap and neg on cap to ground

Just not sure on the charged thing

i kinda regret wasting my money on 1 a few years back when i was an idiot. i still have it and its connected for "show" lmao and doesnt do anything even when charged :P... i just a little 12v mini lightbulb that came with a cap at work.. works great to charge it up. when the light is off then its charged. you can use a resistor also but i forgot what resistance it was... takes about a minute or 2

Caps still have a use for SQ with unregulated amplifiers. other than that.....

To answer the original question. Just google capacitor wiring. If your not sure how to do it. You should not be doing it!. take it to a pro.
