3 wire quick connector for amp wires?

A good friend of mine is a drummer and when he has gigs he has to load his drum kit in the back of his hatch back civic.
He has a sub and amp mounted to the box for easy removal when he loads his drums. Ive been looking everywhere for a 4 gauge Quick connect harness that you simply turn and pull apart for his amp power wires, without the need to remove the main fuse under the hood.

My question is, have any of you guys seen something like this and if so where do i find it.
All local shops here in Winnipeg have no clue. I did hear that Stinger made a quick connector exactly like the one I'm looking for but I cant seem to find it. nothing on there web site anyways.
I'm on my way to princess auto right now to see what they have. Im sure Ill find it there but if the connections and the wires don't add up to my standards I will not install it in any customers car. I have a feeling all they will have are cheap shitty quick connectors.

Google: Anderson Power Pole

Then contact your local industrial electric provider like EB Horsman or EEcol electric. A forklift repair shop will be familiar with these as well. DelCity sells them online as well.

and Ill mount the female end in the side panel in the trunk for a nice clean look.

The one at Princess auto kinda like this was perfect but crap quality.

I think I know where I can get a solid one. A friend of mine owns a recording company and when hes working on new mixes and whatnot he often tests these new recordings on my system. today I was over there and saw some of his recording gear and quick connectors and got a bright idea. Im going to try the local musician stores. check the connectors they use for there amps and such.
Ill let you guys know what I find.

i'd be worried about those connectors being able to pass the current safely.

Powerpole Anderson

The Powerpole Anderson connectors are the way to go. They come in a variety of sizes and configurations. You see them on a lot of tow-trucks, mounted up front for use in connecting jumper cables.
Audison used to use them on the HR-100 amplifier.
They are (or at least were) available in separate poles that could be lock-stacked together. The ones with the HR-100 could accomodate the 5 gauge wire that was provided with the wiring kit.

If you're in Winnipeg some place like Sound Art or any live sound company would probably be able to help you, or at least point you in the right direction.

I thought about this as well. I live in Toronto and work in professional lighting for entertainment. Here's the thing you have to remember: The amount of current would be the factor. So, if you have a 150 AMP fuse, you'll want a connector capable of at least 150amps, and the gauge of your wire is definitely important too. Those connectors mentioned are definitely good for the job. IF you are running 2AWG to 2/0 or between 2/0 and 4/0 then you might consider these connectors too: http://www.cooperinterconnect.com/pdf/EZ-1016.pdf
Most entertainment lighting/sound companies carry these (as does ours). You definitely want this series, EZ Series, as you do not need to use the crimping tools required for the NON-EZ series, and second of all, you want the double set-screw versions of the EZ Series.

I found a bunch of quick connectors kinda like this but these are the only ones that were made for car audio that I found.

I just ordered these, aswell as a bunch of other stuff from installer.com
I never knew about that site untill now. tons of produces. If your an installer you need to check out that site. I just bought a bunch of bulk wire, harnesses, connectors and stuff. great prices.

thanks for your input guys...
