Use some strong adhesive to put 'em back on there. Threaten them never to come off again or else!
(or grab the needed tools at your local tool store; Canadian Tire has good prices on basic kits).

for the 50 cents it costs for a bolt, why not just buy one?

BTW, if the threads are gone...like ground off, a tap won't help you, if they're just stripped by being cross threaded or whatever...the tap is fine.

If the bolt is stripped the bolt is done
Buy a new bolt or have one machined if it is an odd bolt.
Resize the nut bolt combo if you have to

This is the scenario for high priced applications;
If the nut/ female part is partially stripped then you can tap and die, if there isn’t enough metal in the nut you can tap and add a heli-coil, or you can tap and put in a larger bolt, or when all else has failed weld fill the hole.. Drill it out and tap it to the correct size (this is the long term/ return to OEM repair).

depending on what the bolt is used for there are many solutions
for under ten bucks whats it for? i could give ya solution double
quick. if its not something that is under severe stress you could
purchase a course thread bolt same size and get the right size tap
at princess auto for like 2 bucks, that if the bolt is fine thread. A course thread bolt has bigger threads at
an angle, and fine threads are tighter threads, or threads tighter proximity
more horizontal, the threads are what strip. just convert the nut or hole to coarse with a tap.

If all else fails go to crappy tire they will tell ya what to do and get the parts at princess auto,
not high quality but will get the job done at fraction of the price.
