Question How pliable is tweed?

Going to be redoing some door panels on a car that I am restoring and was wondering how pliable tweed it? Thinking of doing a tweed lower section on the door panel and there is some nice curves to it.

Anyone have any experiance playing with this material?

Lightbulb

Any tweed I have worked with has had next to no stretch at all.

This is what kind of door panel that I am recovering (stole a pic from the local VW site!) the section where the arm rest is where I am concerned about mainly. The rest is flat.

The factory material is like a tweed and I would like to keep it factoryish (new word!) sugestions?
