well i have an eclipse SW6103DVC, and the dust cap has come apart from the cone. its only about 2.5-3" long, right around by the surround. so what could make this happen? its my neighbors sub, he bought it from A&B 2 months ago and was told it was a demo sub, but hardly used(just put into the boards 3 weeks before hand).

so now were looking for a new sub. anything too look at? has too be 10", 5.5" deep max, 200 WRMS is going too it, small box(.5F^3).

(oh i will get some pics up so you guys know what im talking about).

Thanks
Dallas

If he doesn't have a warranty with it, I would clean up any old glue from the separation and try some autogoop to glue it back together. Doesn't look too bad.

Unless you want to permanently damage the woofer by performing band-aid surgery on it, I'd suggest sending it to us at Speaker City ( www.speakercity.ca ) , or another service center capable of removing the dustcap, and old glue, then re-glueing the dustcap back in place with proper adhesives which are acetone based.
The woofer is still under warranty, if the date of purchase on the reciept is within 1 year. so another option is a replacement from Eclipse, you can try any authorized dealer for support.
