sub box question for you

Hey guys and girls!!

quick question for you:

I bought a custom box that will hold one 10" sub for my 350z.
I just measured the hole and the diameter is 9"

so my question is, Is 9" a normal cut out for a 10" sub?
or am I limited to certain styles, brands?

sorry i'm not very educated when it comes to car audio at all

Thanks in advance!!!!!

9" diameter cut out is average, but every sub is different by a slight +/-
ex. alpine Type R 10" has a cut out of 9 1/16 where the alpine Type E has a cut out of 8 7/8

worst case you half to trim the box a fraction

The difference is the width of the frame around the outside of the point where the cone and the surround meet......
