Connecting deck

Hey, well I am new to car audio.
Now, quicky.
On the back of the deck, the 4 speaker output WIRES, not RCA's. How do I know what wire is + and - ?
Each pair of wires so say 2 whites, 2 blues, 2 greens, and 2 browns. One wire from each, has a black strip. Is this the positive ?

The striped one from each pair should be negative.
I'd let a second opinion back me up on this before you connect anything.

Also more details would help..
Is this your stock deck or are you installing a new one?

'Usually' the striped one signifies negative, however, as long as ALL the speakers are connected in the same manner... in other words.... ALL + connected to the solid color wire and ALL - connected to the striped wire of the same color for that speaker, or vice versa it is fine. The reason is to keep the speakers in PHASE.

Yeah a manual would be super good. I can't find anything on the net as of pics.
Its a Kenwood KDC-205.
I will be running the output speaker wires from the deck, to a converter to convert them into RCAs, then to a crossover.
So all I need to do is connect it together. So I think I need to find what one is + and - if they are being converted to RCAs through a converter.

if it is an aftermarket deck then it has standard speaker wire color coding. And I will leave it up to you to search the web for the color codes! The work will make it more satisfying, and you will find all sort of good information.

Omg

are these serious replies, on all aftermarket decks the wire with the stripe is always neg. if you hook these up backwards to the factory wires your speakers will be out of phase and sound like poo. i would seriously bring it to a pro and pay the money to have it done right.

Yeah, they sound a little odd to me too.
But JR is right, on all aftermarket decks, the wires that are striped, are neg-
