Orion H2 10.2 Enclosure

I'm looking to build an enclosure for this H2. Any design recommendations? On the orion site, it says that the port length should be 32.6 inches long. I can't visualize this. Help would be appreciated.

Well, the first box I built for mine was a sealed box at .65 cubic feet. I loved it in that box. Then I switched it up and was planning on using the manual specs to build a ported box but everyone told me that the specs were to small. So I made one at 1.5 cubic feet like most people told me to do and I tuned it to the companies specs. It hit VERY loud on frequencies around 28-38 but all of the higher frequencies were really quite. So i'd suggest tuning it higher than the specs in the manual.

The recommended port tuning at 29 hz seems really low to me. I will definitely tune it higher.

Port diameter smaller = shorter port try 2"

The Orion enclosure specs are more of a "our speaker will work well in enclosure's this small" but if you really want them to shine go bigger.
They'll still take the rated power like a champ in the bigger enclosure.

The H2's really do excel ported (as opposed to what the T/S specs would suggest) and I would suggest 1.25-1.5net for the 10" model.

If you went with a 2" port on that sub with that kind of excursion, I would think you'd start to hear some unwanted port noise.

I find slot ports are much easier to integrate into a box design.....once you have the net volume calculated adding the extra space for the slot is fairly simple....
