this is my first post here, i found the site while searching for Jeep boxes
My problem is , limited space for the equipment i want to run
Right now I have a small prefab single 12" box, I would love to go to 2 x 12", to do this I will more than likely need a custom box. I have found one prefab 2 x 12 but it is limited to .82 cf per sub. Id like to try to get a little more airspace
I have also found some 10" downfire boxes that are nice, and give 1.25cf per sub
I also found a guy In nevada that makes Jeep boxes, but unfortunately he is not doing it at the moment, So i know it can be done.
my question(s) are
what do you think about 2 x10" with the 1.25 cf , I am thinking on type r subs btw
really though , the extra effort to get 2 x12" in there will probably be worth it
Also, Does anyone know where I could order a custom built box for a jeep that will hold 12's. OR a place in NB area that will custom build me one ,. other than future shop, they quoted me about 800 to 900 bucks, which is a little overpriced, I dont mind paying, but i dont want to be robbed

Clarion ??400 vx or vz or something , just got it last night, been through 3 or 4 head units the last couple months till i find something I am happy with
single 12" type r
jbl 662 6.5 coaxial, factory dash speakers at the moment, being changed out soon to Kappa 4x6 i believe, maybe something else, along with kick panel speakers to be added 5 1/4 i believe
all powered by a 5 channel Hifonics Zeus amp 1480rms( 1000w rms for single mono channel , and 480 for the 4 channel side)
phoenix gold 1.0 f cap wired with 4 gauge
Phoenix gold pdl1 line driver
Phoenix gold bass cube(not hooked up yet)

didnt seem to work out, a wrangler box build is a bit of a diffucult one to fit 2 x 12"
anyone else??

 

I wouldn't even try. Stick to one 12 or go to two 10s.
