what amp should I get?

what amp should I get?

I just got a new truck and I have 2 Alpine type s 10s and I'm just looking for some input as to what amp I should be getting?

you'd need an amp that does 600 rms at 2 ohms, or .5 but I doubt an amp that small will run so low. I think thats the impedance of those subs

I'de feed those 200w rms each. Something efficient . Check your voice coil resistance and tell us what it is. Then we can give you setup combinations

If its dual 4 ohm u can go 4's into 2 and then the 2's into a 1 or 4 setup.
With dual 4's u can also go 4's into 8 and then 8's into 4 or 16 (But u don't do that)

Technically the other option is pointless since your already getting 1 or 4 in the first option.

If it's dual 2's u can go 2's into 1's and then make the 1's 2 or .5 ohm

All of this resistance mixing is done by wiring in parallel "Smaller of two options in numbers" or series "Bigger of two options in numbers"

Read up on this post back and we can all tell you what amp would work with your type s's
