How come I have no sound

Alright, here's what happened.

Yesterday I was on my way home, listenin to some tunes, and all of a sudden, the sound totally cuts out. The deck is still on, working, but none of my speakers have any sound whatsoever.

I checked the fuse on the deck, it's fine, I checked all the connections to my cross-overs, they're intact and fine. I'm not using an amp.

Any idea of why all of the speakers are not working??

Thanks for your help.

well if the deck is on and all other functions are working properly, then it sounds like the amplifier in the deck is shot. Make sure all deck wiring is connected and there are not any fuses blown in the fuse box, there are usually two power wires to the deck, a yellow one and a red one, make sure both are being powered.

If one speaker is faulty or one speaker wire is grounding out, this will send the deck into protection. Start by disconnecting all speakers and then test each and every speaker line for a dead short as well as check for a bad speaker.
