03 Chevy Tahoe Bose System replacemnt
03 Chevy Tahoe Bose System replacemnt
I want to amp my system but don't want to change out the deck if I don't have to. I like the functionality of the 6 cd changer and the fact that the steering wheel controls are on it, as well as a bunch of other things.
Can anyone tell me how I can put a 5 channel amp to it. I'm going to replace the door speakers, sub (probably with a boxed one out back).
If this is just too difficult a chore, I'll replace with an Alpine deck I have, but unsure what specifically I may lose other than steering wheel volume controls, possibly chimes ?
Anyone with some input would be greatly appreciated. The BOSE system, although good for a stock system, just doesn't cut it for me.
Thanks.

I have the premium BOSE system, want to replace head unit with my Alpine 9853 and amp the system with a 5 channel.
Do I need the following to keep my steering wheel controls and chimes ?

Would really appreciate any experts help, would like to buy off fleabay, I'll save quite a few bucks doing that. Installer quoted me at least twice that for each product.
Thanks in advance for your assistance !
Those should be the main parts you need other than the obvious dash kit and the antenna adapter.
If you want to add an amp to the factory deck I recommend using something like the RE-Q5, It's cheap and does it's job well.

I'm going to order shortly. I'm not going to use any of the BOSE stuff. Will be using the Alpine Deck, to MTX 5 channel amp to run 2 sets of components and a subbox in the back.
