RE Audio srx10 vs. cerwin-vega Vmax10

Opinions, suggestions? Building a custom console for my Montana (0.7-0.8ft3 sealed box) to save space. No dealers for either in Kelowna so some feedback would be sweet. Or other subs in that range that work well in sealed boxes. Thanks yall

The srx's are descent subs for the price. I was running 2 12" at 400 w each in a ported box, subs are rated at 300w rms, they sounded good and took the extra power fine for several weeks , then I changed the subs out. Still have em for back up.
Haven't heard cerwin vega's in years.
Either should work well in a moderate size daily system.

I'd say the SRX, I have a 15" Srx in my brothers car and it take 400w daily no problem.

Thanks for the info. I was leaning vega anyway. Any feed back on type R's? I have heard mixed opinion and so many biased alpine fiends out there i want the truth.

Hey fresh, why did they blow? Too many watts, bad wiring, dummy playing with the gains too much?

my first year of competition i used a pair of v-max 15's...gave them almost 4k each and scored over 153db in testing!

I sold them as working subs and to this day, the new owner still uses them and they sound great.

the gains were cranked beyond what they could take. they worked fine on my amp, but he had them for about a month and then I got the call that one died but he "fixed" it. then the other went too. but still, CV all the way. I really think his amp was bad because he has hooked up other subs and they've all suffered the same fate
