you'd be better off with a second battery, much better off.

The average car battery stores the equivalent of 2200 Farads of power.
A big bad SPL battery probably a lot more.
Get another battery, it'll actually do something useful

The idea behind a using a cap in car audio is that they can dump thier charge much faster then a battery can create current..... unfortunatly the inductance of a 10F++ cap makes it useless..... they simply cannot discharge fast enough in compairson to the transient nature of music.....

i heard 2nd battery in your trunk is dangerouse....
also optima yellow top... is that the best battery you can buy for running a car audio especially like mine? i was thinking of getting 2 3fared caps, just for when that BIG boom comes... Big 3 is a must and will be done when my alt is getting replaced... also i heard of people getting 2nd alts in their cars... but where do they fit them? like that part confuses me
