hey i was wondering if its a general rule not to mix sizes and brands like i have a infinity 12 inch sub and was goin to put 2 10 inch mtx subs in with that would there be problems with that or no

 

Ive never done it or heard it myself, but most people recomend against it. Also what are you powering them with?

 

I did this back in the day off some crappy stereos, but I know its not recommended as each subs act differently..

 

well my infinity i have will be hooked up to a kenweeo 250x 2so i bridge that i get 500 to that sub then 2 sepetate subs with a seperate amp

 

you have room for all of that in one vehical? I say stick with just one size

 

i have a hearse lol room aint a factor so if i go with 2 other 12s maybe less power than my infinity it will still be good diferent brands

 

oh in that case, go for it, provide more sound in different frequency ranges

 

Don't mix sub sizes if they are covering the same frequency range. In fact avoid it like the debil. The problem most often encountered is cancellation.

If they are crossed so that they are producing their own seperate frequency range then go right ahead.

 

see i was goin to do my 12 on one amp and 2 10s ona different amp i like the clarion 10 but dont wanna give up my infinity 12

 

Try and tune the 10's more towards mid bass, and the 12s for low

If you got a hearse buddy, go for some 15s when you get the cash
