So I have decided to run 2 hertz 12" subs they are 750w each with 350 rms @ 4ohm + 4ohm. I plan on running 1 mrd1005 with them I belve the rms at 4ohms is 700. Will I be under powering the subs?? If I have to will upgrade to get the full 100% outta the subs

 

well if they are svc then you will create a 2 ohm load by mixing the 2

Sounds to me like your subs have dual 4ohm coils. If so, an amp that makes around 1,400 to 1,500wrms into either a 1 or 4ohm mono load would be more than enough power.

The guys at S&S Electronics in Scarborough have a used PPI PC21400 that would do just fine......

If you're leery of buying used, the site vendors here can hook you up with something new from a variety of brands.

Make sure you get a very solid box made, that much power will be hard on the seams......

 

That amplifier is rated at 700rms into a 4 ohm load at 14.4V, but chances are, you won't often actually see that high of a voltage while playing, so assuming voltage only drops to say 12V, you'll probably get a little less than that, maybe ~500-600 or so.

This split between those two subs rated at 750 each should still be alright, and you don't need max power to em' in order for them to work and sound good, just make sure input sensitivity is set right on the amp and you're not crazy with the volume. If that isn't loud enough for you, you'll need to upgrade your amplifier like BigRedGuy said, to something 1 ohm stable with more power, or something that puts out an equal amount at 4 ohms, since as mentioned, those are your coil options.

 

A Sundown SAZ1500D would work as it does 1500@1ohm

 

BigRed's got a point. This PPI amp PPI would be a perfect match for that. Have those subs linked in parallel to get 2 ohms on each one and run it either on stereo or bridged at 4 ohm (in series) to maximize power capabilities and considering the price for it as well.
