Well i got busted for driving with a suspended license today. Here's a hint - don't try to race undercover cops...bad idea. Ya this sucks i was supposed to get my license back in a week but the cops were checking my tags and it said on their computer that i was suspended. And the funny thing is, the reason they looked is because my system was pumping so loud. I seen them looking at me and he got on his radio, so i switched lanes, turned, and started flooring it. I turned left, then quickly cut through an alley, but the pig in his Dodge Charger was all over me. Got my ride impounded for 30 days. Does anybody have an idea how much this will cost me, and when i will be able to get my license back?

 

question, were the windows up, because a cop pulled me over when i had them down, then he told me to keep my windows up if i wanted to just blast it.... is this how it is, who is a cop or almost a cop, ROB you prolly know the answer?

 

Your lucky in ontario it 45 days they impound for driving under suspension 2nd times 90 day doesn't matter if it's your car or not.

You're a tool. Likely the reason why your lic was suspended in the first place.

Of course you'll likely respond with some smartassed comeback but I'd really like to hear what ya got to respond with as the way I see it:
1. You're driving with a suspended lic. A lic doesn't get suspended unless you did something unresponsible/stupid (whether it was as bad as an Over 80mg or simply a unpaid 15km/h over the limit ticket they're both examples of an unresponsible person).
2. You were driving with said suspended lic.
3. It wasn't enough to drive with the suspended lic but on top of that you figured hey why not draw attention to myself while doing it.

So props to you if you say "I got done again and I deserved it" but if you're here looking for sympathy my original sentence stands.

As for answering yuor question which I will do anyways because I'm a nice fricking guy and all; I would say that if your suspended lic can be cleared up simply by paying a fine, I would say that you could talk to the Crown and try to work out a deal. That will be your quickest way to getting back on the road legally.

 

But towman it doesn't matter anyways does it, i mean aren't they going to take my license away for a year or two?

 

Damn man, you screwed urself trying to out run the cops... But anyways, from a stupid previous life of mine. Driving while susupended and getting impounded car, will cost a bit. Youll be fined for sure, then the impound will ding ya. For me it was 10 dollars aday or when ever I could get it out.
They will want proof of insurance if your driving it out of impound lot and valid drivers licience, other wise you tow it home. For the fine it all depends on the cop and or judge on how much they like or dislike your actions. Good luck to ya

I don't know the rules out there but here if it's a criminal suspension (eg. not just an unpaid ticket ) they will usually add a year at least on to the existing suspension and have fun affording insurance after that.

 

Seriously, i got suspended because an undercover cop was taunting me and trying to race me, but i didn't know he was a cop. He said he was doing 80 and i was taking off on him, so he gave me a ticket for 80, because those undercover cars don't have radars. They didn't have uniforms on or anything, just leather jackets and sunglasses. And are cops allowed to speed if they don't have their lights on?
