Receivers with unboard processing.

I have been considering getting a new receiver to replace my stock one since I have grown tired of waiting to read mp3 folders and tracks. At the same time I wanted newer tech such as USB inputs, unboard processing and perhaps even bluetooth.

The first that came to mind was the pioneer 880PRS. Has a lot of processing such as time alignement and 3 way xovers with lots of tunability.

I also saw the clarion DXZ955MC that has similar features but more gadgets( Can store up to 6 CD, touch panel) for similar pricing.

But they were all missing USB inputs to make them perfect.

One thing I noticed is how hard it is to get good info on any manufacturers xover functions if they have any and time allignement. Sometimes DSP can mean crappy presets but it can also mean manual adjustibility.

I have had a hard time finding what I want for a low enough price. I think everyone has heard of the above mentioned units.

There is also eclipse that has the CD7000 that has an SD card reader but also throws in navigation. Its a great deal right now seeing as how it is an outgoing model.

I was able to come accross something that seems like the perfect fit that no one ever seems to talk about. It is from an unlikely source though. It is the JVC KD-SH1000.

It has TA, 3 way xover, 5volt pre amps (2volt sub), selectable 9 band EQ or 3 band PEQ along with both USB and SD card inputs. That is a lot of versatiliy in one package. And right now, it beeing an older model, is cheep to get, I think the cheepest even.

So my quest to find a double din unit for an affordable price ends here I beleive.

I never thought of JVC as having those type of features. And that reminds how dissapointed I am with kenwood and sony. They have almost nothing in terms of processing. Kenwood seems to beleive in their G meter.

By the way, if anyone knows of a receiver with similar functions please post it.
