My Cd Deckk?????

I got a question. yesterday I got some info from some people that said i should make sure my wiring is right on the cd deck bc the left side of the cars speakers (the left front, and the back left speakers are only working). How do i approach doing this like checking the wires? do i have to unscrew the cd deck and pull it out so i can look at i? My dad said i can look under the dashh or something like that to see it. What way should I approach this thing guys. plz help me outt?

Take the cd player out of the dash. Look carefully at the speaker wire connections for the right side speakers. They are grey and grey black and violet and violet black. If they are not shorting out, disconnect them entirely and take another speaker and hook it directly to the wires coming from the back of the cd player. If it works, then you have either a shorted speaker wire somewhere in the vehilce, perhaps a bad speaker or the speakers are just plain not hooked up. Check the speakers would be the next thing to do.

Ensure the balance control is set in the center before you unplug anything!!!!

If both front and back on the left side are not working, its not likely a wire problem. If the back wire was shorted front would still work, etc.
Decks usually have one amp per side and use a votage spliting circuit (fader)for front/rear.
Take out the deck and check the output right at/after the harness.
Good Luck.

One would assume that it was checked, but I never take the simplest of things for granted. The balance control on the deck isn't cranked for the left side is it?

Check the balance control on your HU. If you're not sure where it is, consult your manual. Just make sure it isn't set all the way to the left channel.
