My client was thinking of a new sub in his caravan. He has a type r 12 in a ported box. He was thinking of getting a type x. So for ***** and giggles we went to the local hock shop. Where they happen to have a eclipse titanium 10" for a godly 400 bucks. So we through it in and WOW now he wants one. But the box they had it in was to small. Now If he were to get a box made a little larger then spec and ported to around 34hz. Will he get the best of both worlds. Low bottom end and tight punch. Need to know a little more about this sub and box's

 

how much power is he throwing to the type r? they would be the loudest of all 3 subs listed with proper power. no both the other subs would be quite a bit more musical, but the r will be the loudest in a proper ported box.

 

for power he's got a mrd-m605.
not really looking for spl more for loud clean music.
