you can buy a harness that plugs into your stereos wiring, so you don't have to tap into anything, just have to match up the wires to the colors. If your vehicle is equipped with bose stereo its going to be a tad bit more complicated.
chime (maybe onstar) can be used if u dont remove the factory amp.. i have a chev avalanche that i connected a small speaker to and double sided it to the underside of my dash, and tapped into the drivers door speaker wiring at the door just before it goes into the door boot. works fine. u need to find the right speaker though (4ohm). i had tried a few, all were very low on the volume i still need to try e few more but it does work.. btw chimes are a good thing if u have a habit of leaving ur lights on or keys in the ignition. i use mine to know when i have saved my seat settings. (2driver settings).
pac did make an adapter that had a small speaker built in that would do the same thing.
good luck

The blue "12-Out" wire is a remote wire that goes to an amplifier to tell it to turn on when the head unit powers up. If you don't have an amp for your speakers then I would just cap it off and leave it until you decide to install an aftermarket amplifier.
