Odds and ends..

I'm having a hell of a time finding the last few things I need...

3/4" 6x9 Speaker Rings
Imapct Crimper capable of 4 to 2/0

And something else that's not coming to mind right at the moment, if I remember I'll edit it in.

Anyone know a good spot for this stuff?

I'm in the Newmarket/Barrie area.

Try princess auto for the crimper. You might even find the rings there as well if you're lucky.

princess auto will have the crimper for sure. I was looking at it yesterday. It is in the welding area and if memory serves me well then it was just under $80

They do have a crimp tool but it's not the impact style, but it'll work. Had to check their website and call em.

Guess I'll be getting those on tuesday.

Now for the speaker rings..

instead of crimping just solder. cheaper and cleaner to look at.

as for speaker rings, home depot sells 2x4 sheets of 3/4" MDF for $8. just go online, and get a stencil and cut them out yourself

yeah I would make the rings but most install shops should be able to order in (or make) a set if they don't have them.

In all fairness I have about every tool known to man available to me not 20ft away but I'm just looking to keep fabricating to a minimum

I'm doing everything in one shot, including front end wiring, sound deadening, front and rear speakers, etc etc. The less I have to do, the better xD

I would just make the rings, MDF vs. Plastic?!?!?!?! The ones that you can order from Metra or Scosche will be plastic. For the 10 minutes it will take with a jig saw well worth the time to make your own.
