I am trying to decide between the Rockford P450.4 and the Infinity Reference 7541A. They will be used to power a set of MTX components and a 12 inch subwoofer. Which one is the better of the two?

 

i would ask

what amp to power a set of MTX components and a 12 inch subwoofer.

and see what thay say and see if one of them comes up

some time thay may get you thinking about an amp that you may have not looked at

I have experience with both these amps and although they are both good amps, the P450.4 is a very strong 4 channel and works great in the 3 channel mode you are needing, the combined sub channel is very strong for a 4 channel at its price point.

 

And the Infinity is no slouch either. Just ask one of the guys that left me some i-trader feedback on it. liv2ride is a good example as he is using it on a sub as well.
