-a lot of human tragedy and with it a lot of heroism,

-a lot of unfinished business that is simply left undone,

-a lot of future tragedy will happen and is expected but we are doomed by our short sightedness to not minimize the adverse effects,

-There is very little to like in that reactor design, lots of known shortcomings i.e.: "can be shut down in as little as 2.5 minutes"

-There is also beauty exposed in the tragedies we see (Japans earthquake, Chernobyl, the 9/11 attacks) and that is the beauty of the human spirit to rise to the task and to inspire faith and hope in all of us that we humans are capable of great good
