Best Compact Amps?

Can I get some input on the best compact amps out there? I gathered this awesome collection of ODR and PRS components, only to obtain a new car not feasibly compatible with such a grand system. It seems now I have to depart with my dream system in favor of a lightweight and compact system. So what do you guys think?

zed leviathan. you can run an entire system off of one with power to spare. its not the smallest amp out there, but you won't need multiple amps.

Thanks jstone. But how is the sq? I'd be using it to drive excellent equipment.

they are great amps, dont let the topology scare you away.

personally i'd base my amp decision on power, efficiency, and flexibility. SQ will come down to you install, speaker choice and processing ultimately.

what kind of equiptment are you going to be running?

Check out Massive Audio NX series amps. Very small, efficient and attractive. Good specs. NX5 runs plenty of power if you're looking for an all in one amp, or go seperates.

Sweet, I'll check them out! Thanks, guys. Looks like I'll be using a p-99 HU and some custom 3-ways, along with an 8" or 10" SQ sub of some sort... I'm pushing for an Alto Fallstaf

Lots of great compact amps.

The zed offerings would be at the top of my list but they are expensive.
The often considered best would be the JL HD line though. XD being similar but cheaper.

Everyone has some now, someone mentioned the massive audio nano's, to me they are some of the sexiest and smallest but they are class AB so they get hot and aren't efficient like the class D's and GH's of the world.

If you want small and efficient and cheap, go to sonicelectronix and find the vibe audio lite box. They are the same amp offered by the "prestigious" arc audio but at bottom basement pricing with slight aesthetic differences hehe.

JL makes excellent small amps. Alpine PDX should be considered as well, and I would also check out the Pioneer amps.

Is any 1000W amp that heavy or big to begin with?
