Noob needs a little help
Noob needs a little help
I have a 2005 chevy equinox just got new front speakers and a new deck sounds way better than stock for the highs and mids but I need a sub for the lows.
The component speakers i got Kenwood KFC-P709PS
• 80W Rated Input Power
• 4 Ohm Impedance
• 63Hz - 24kHz Frequency Response
it says 6.5" online but they were actually 6.75" took some fitting and the tweets are 1"
The deck is a Sony MEX bt28000
I've heard that sony isn't too good as fas as car audio goes but i got it for half price and i didnt want to get a new deck but my cd player in the stock wouldn't eject any more and it had no aux so.
Speaker Impedance : 4-8 Ohms
Max power output : 52 watts x 4 at 4 ohms
Pioneer TS-W258D4 10" 350 rms at 2 ohm or a
Pioneer TS-W308D4 12" 400 rms at 2 ohms and an
Alpine MRP-M500 amp 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
I believe that the amp will be enough to power either one and i'm getting it for $180 and the sub for either $70 or $80. I listen to mostly electronic music so i like bass but i'm not looking to be heard 3 blocks away i'd like it to be loud but clean. any input would be great also ported vs sealed boxes i've heard the sealed will sound cleaner but ported louder i'm new to this so as far as the rms and hz i've just been told to have them match so i think it'll work thanks in advance.
